More information
Jiffy-7C Coir Pellets are environmentally-friendly growing media made from 100% peat-free compressed coconut coir, manufactured by the trusted Jiffy brand for seed starting, propagation and cutting development.
Each 35mm pellet expands to approximately 38mm in height when hydrated. The coir provides an optimal blend of moisture retention and aeration, and the biodegradable mesh netting holds the medium together while allowing unrestricted root development.
Key benefits:
- 100% peat-free: pure, renewable coconut coir with no peat moss
- 100% natural and biodegradable
- Expands to approximately 2 times its original size when watered
- pH balance of 5.5-6.5 for optimal nutrient uptake
- Excellent water retention while maintaining proper aeration
- Clean and easy to use, no mess or additional containers needed
Pack sizes: 24, 36, 50, 84, 105 and 116
The coir's free-draining, airy structure helps prevent both overwatering and underwatering, and reduces the cold, soggy conditions that lead to damping off, while still holding enough moisture for steady, even germination.
Prefer a peat pellet that holds a little more moisture between waterings? We also stock the 42mm Jiffy-7 (peat & coir).
